Born and raised in New York City, John Lawrence Clofine is the first child of Michael Clofine and his wife, Angela McVey Clofine. John is a student at the University of Southern California School of Dramatic Arts and is a graduate of Westminster School (CT) and the Allen-Stevenson School. He also studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and the School of Film and Television at Loyola Marymount University. John initially committed to further his academic and athletic interests as a soccer recruit at Occidental College before a lower back injury led him back to acting.
