Hannah-Oke

Hannah-Oke is a British karaoke game show based on the hit TV series Hannah Montana that premiered on Disney Channel UK. It sees six families from across the UK putting their singing abilities and Hannah song knowledge to the test in a series of challenges and karaoke sing-offs in front of a studio audience and panel of judges, which consist of Disney Channel UK star Brad Kavanagh, Pop Idol participant Nicki Chapman and Dancing on Ice participant Jason Gardiner. The audience then votes for the winning family which will go through to the final. In the event of a tie-break, the judges vote and the family with the most votes goes through. The three final families will then go head-to-head fir the title of Hannah-oke Champion 2009. The winning Hannah-oke family will receive a trip to Disneyland Paris, a karaoke machine and Hannah Montana singstar game. They will also receive a gold disk signed by Miley Cyrus.

Comic Relief Does Fame Academy

Comic Relief Does Fame Academy is a spin-off of the original Fame Academy show where celebrities sing as students of the Academy. The programme was launched in 2003 to help raise money for the charities supported by Comic Relief, with the final of the show occurring on Red Nose Day. Coverage of the show was widely shown on BBC One, BBC Three, BBC Prime and the CBBC Channel. Many consider the celebrity version of the show to be far more successful than its predecessor. The Comic Relief series returned in 2005 and again in March 2007. It was announced by the BBC that Cat Deeley would not return because she was hosting So You Think You Can Dance. However, Patrick Kielty returned with co-host and host of the former spin-off show Claudia Winkleman.

Biography

Konnie Huq (Born Kanak Asha Huq or কনক হক) was born in London, England to Muslim Bangladeshi parents. She got her first big break as a guest on Blue Peter as a child. In her youth she also appeared on Blockbusters as a contestant, she was on sitcom 2point4 Children playing a schoolchild and Newsround as an interviewer. She is best known for being the longest serving female presenter on BBC children's television programme Blue Peter. She is married to comedian and writer Charlie Brooker.
