Three couples are followed as they struggle to have children. Pilar and Brad Coleman are both very mature, Brad already has grown up a daughter and Pilar wants to have a baby of her own. Diana and Andy Douglas are a newlywed couple with great careers. It would be difficult for Diana to conceive, so they explore other options, like surrogacy and adoption. Charlie Winwood is an orphan who, like Diana, always wanted to have children. He is married to Barbie, an aspiring actress who isn't too enthusiastic to become a mother.

Michelle Beaudoin (born August 25, 1975) is a Canadian actress best known for her roles as Jenny Kelley in the sitcom Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and Penny Foster in the teen drama Madison.Early life Beaudoin was born in Edmonton, Alberta, the daughter of Maurice and Lorraine Beaudoin. Career Beaudoin played Sabrina's best friend Marnie in the Sabrina the Teenage Witch movie, and Sabrina's best friend Jenny Kelley in the first season of the series. Apart from Melissa Joan Hart, Beaudoin was the only other original cast member from the film that went on to the Sabrina the Teenage Witch television series. Beaudoin's character was removed from the series after only one season. In an interview Beaudoin revealed that it was due to the creators wanting Sabrina to have an ethnic friend. While some speculation has been it was due to her risky cameo in the film Bad Company (1995) where she briefly appeared nude.
