Joy kills his Ahimama, takes his revenge, then goes to jail, writes his autobiography "Lakshyabhed" in jail and then is released from jail to live happily ever after with his family.

His first acting assignment was in the play Khudha, and his first film was Mrinal Sen's 1958 film Neel Akasher Neechey. He breathed his last in Kolkata on December 6, 2020.
