Everyone in Lithuania knows Vytautas Kernagis – heard him singing, saw him on stage, or hosting TV shows. The public constantly saw Kernagis and thought they knew and understood him. But Kernagis was convinced that the artist must always remain somewhat mysterious. However, still living in the Soviet Union, he was among the first ones to buy a personal video camera in the mid-1980s and has documented his life on a VHS camera for more than ten years.

They only wanted to challenge the unjust government. But once they did...they had no way back. When Baltic states regain their independence from the Soviet Union, thousands of Russians living outside Russia find themselves cut off from their native land. Some of them return to Russia, others become naturalized citizens and go on with their lives in the new country. However, two Russian brothers, Kostya and Yura, are among those who do not want to return to Russia, nor to live under the new government. When brothers find out that they must leave the country or will be deported, they decide to challenge the government that they believe has violated their rights. The brothers capture a minivan full of passengers and demand a ransom of a million dollars as a compensation for the injustice inflicted upon them. According to their plan, none of the hostages will be hurt, however, as the brothers capture the minivan, the first blood spilled.

Kas laimės milijoną?

Kas laimės milijoną? was a Lithuanian game show based on the original British format of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The show was hosted by Vytautas Kernagis. The main goal of the game was to win 1 million litai by answering 15 multiple-choice questions correctly. There were three lifelines - fifty fifty, phone a friend and ask the audience. Kas laimės milijoną? was broadcast from 16 May 2002 to 18 August 2005. It was shown on the Lithuanian TV station TV3 Lithuania. When a contestant got the fifth question correct, he left with at least 1,000 litai. When a contestant got the tenth question correct, he left with at least 32,000 litai.
